I watched them release this morning...I saw about 5 or 6 caught but none on my behalf. They are small, biggest I saw went prob fifteen inches but he caught that before they stocked you should give up your day time job and be a fisherman haha funny...for some reason these trout are kicking my butt---stripers don't stand a chance with me though i'm gonna hit up kidd springs this weekend

couldn't get out there till nine.....:note to self: trout do not bite in the bitter cold at night...all we caught was a perch...god dang perch! we gave up at 11pm.
did they have any size to them greg?? I saw a dead one in the current last night...pretty good sized, looked like it was fileted and someone threw the carcass in the water.

I think they'll hit the fly, they were hitting gnats and insects on the surface last night. sucks to see them jump out of the water after food but they won't bite my stuff

I was there last night too. I blanked. Saw a kid catch one, that was about it. iamquockie's right though, they looked to be feeding on bugs that were on the surface.

Got there about 3:30pm and left just after dark. I wanted to keep fishing but it was getting too cold. Should have dressed warmer. Were there still a few people out there when you went?

I don't blame you one bit. Which side of the small dam were you fishing on? Most people (including myself) were fishing on the down river side. However, some were fishing the up river side. I would hate to be fishing the wrong side. Lol.
The dam i'm referring to is the one you come to, pretty much as soon as you pull into the park, with the steps leading down to it.

both have stepd bandito...but I fished the first dam, directly behind papasitos (sp?) I fished both sides without a fish, I figured the upstream side got less pressure so I would be there since the area between the dams is so big...from what i saw the area between the dams got the most fish though, and depth wise has a better chance of holding some of the previously stocked fish.

Ah, fishing the other side with less pressure, that makes sense. I might have to try and make it out there again this weekend. Or maybe I should try Greenbriar. They just stocked that area too.
That or maybe i should try going up to the Denison dam. Lol. you guys always seem to have some great stories about that place.

I know...I just have to keep going and keep trying until I find something they like. I'm rigging carolina rig style, small clip on weight about a foot above my #10 or #12 hook.
Its just so cold to go to the dam...I want to go pretty bad though. Its fun but really its the company that makes it more fun for me
