The Saturday tournament will be on again at Harbor Bay Marina this Saturday. We fish the pay dock and barge only. The tournament will run from 6-11pm with cash to the biggest stinger (5 fish) and largest fish. Entry is only $10 plus the price to fish the barge. This is a 100% payout and we have had as many as 12 entries in the past 2 weeks. The more that play... the more it pays! This is a good group of guys and a good time.

Look forward to seeing many TFF'ers there this week!

Feel the thump!

Z

James Rains collects the money. We usually hang out at the pavillion behind the store at tournament time.Just come by and say hello and we will point you in the right direction. They were biting earlier this week. We have new trees down this week. I think it the wind will cooperate we should catch some fish. The great thing is that everyone has an equil chance and there is no advantage. We are fishing the same area and under the same condtions.

Its a great time!

Greg Ziemer

PS James, Larry will be here after all this weekend.

I might actually come out tomorrow night and fish this event for the fun of it if someone would be kind enough to give me some directions.

I would be coming from Denton, Texas.

The Location of Harbor bay is off Horizon Rd. (1st Rockwall exit)
Go north (left if east bound on I-30) over I-30. Turn left behind the Snuffers and follow the road down to the Marina.

Any questions... call me!

I wanted to chime in and tell everyone thanks, I had a really good time lastnight at Harbor Bay, regardless of the thermometer.

I drove down from Denton, Texas. Arrived at about 7:30 or 7:45 p.m.

I think I counted in the neighborhood of 12-15 folks out there lastnight, besides myself. Do not know how many people were entered verses pleasure fishing.

Firt time to Harbor Bay or Ray Hubbard in terms of wetting a hook. Have driven across I-30 while coming back from Tawakoni on a couple ocassions.

Saw a few dink crappies, one LMB and a couple of keeper Crappie caught while there. All in all, every person appeared to be dedicated crappie ethusiasts.

Did not speak up and introduce myself, I was trying to keep the ole' hands warm. I think everyone was trying to conserve their body heat as well. Not to mention, how do you find a person when everyone is so well camouflaged, LMAO?

Left out about 45 minutes before the end of the tourney. I learned a few things from my little excursion to Harbor Bay. First, Harbor Bay is a very nice facility. Very ample room to fish. Everyone was very nice and courteous. Lots of hardcore crappie anglers out that way. I want to return during the daylight hours to investigate the brush layout. I know it must have a fair amount of brush. I broke off twice. However, my fingers were a bit numb and the motor skills were slowing down by 10:30 I decided I had already accomplished what I set out to do. Investigate Harbor Bay and it's potential as a crappie fishing spot for future fishing days. Two thumbs up.

I plan on attending the next tourney and meeting some of the folks involved, now that I understand the lay of the land a bit more in regards to driving directions, what's available for the angler and the type of folks involved.

Cheers!

Jeff
