Need prayers for Alakabama's mom ...
she had an acident the other day hurt her back and now is in the hospital after having a stroke . She is not doing very well at all from what I understand not talking and blinked today and they called that a good sign...he lives here and she is in Alabama...so he has not got to see her yet.
Also has a blood clot in her lung....
Her name is Hildy Nix..

Brother Terry,
Thank you and everyone else for your thoughts and espically your prayers. I just spoke with my brother who is at the hospital and they informed him that they had lowered her oxygen from 100% to 50%. He also said she had some movement in her right leg which is the side that had shown no movement. They told him she was out of danger as far as the clot in her lungs goes, I'm not a Dr. and don't know how they would determine that but hope they are right. They told him her chances of recovery are about 50%, I'm not sure if they meant full recovery from the stroke or recovery, my brother thought they meant from the stroke. We would like her transferred to UAB in Birmingham but she's still in ICU and can't be transported at this time. I may be grasping at straws but am somewhat comforted by this news. I'm still struggling with the decision of going home or not and have to weigh out all my concerns. It's strange how God works, sometimes he whispers in your ear, sometimes a gentle tap on the sholder, and sometimes a 2x4 across the head. I suggest you listen to the whisper.
I want to thank you all for your prayers and please continue to do so, I'll try to keep you posted.

My Dad had a stroke about 15 months ago and he has made about as good a recovery as you could ask for, so hang in there.
