How about a game camera? Take a snapshot of the hooligan.
Excellent idea. BTW, the lawsuit idea can go both ways. And a couple of 5 gallon buckets full of feet and concrete might work, too.

Need some help on how to secure my gas cap on my 1996 Century 1850 Center Console. Some fine upstanding citizen seems to just help himself on removing the gas out of my boat. I leave it at a storage facility outside. It has a gate but my boat is parked next to a Farm-to-Market road with a barbed wire fence seperating it. The first two times my tank was lower than normal I thought I must have made a mistake on how much was in the tank when I parked it. The last time the lovely young man or(women)left the gas cap off. They have hit me forover 30 gallons in the past three months. The only silver lining in this is that they think they are getting regular gas but they are getting oil-gas mix. It would be a little trouble on your part, but disconnect the fuel hose from the tank inside the boat, put in a container of gas with about a 5# bag of sugar in it & let the low life, ill bred gutter sluts steal that gas from you! That'd break them from sucking eggs!!! LOL!! Just take the hose off the neck of the tank & put it on another can or portable 6 gallon tank somehow!LOL! That'd serve them right! I'm a mean spirited old B@$7@rd, ain't I? LOL!!! I HATE A THIEF!!!!!! Do it that will be a good one.. Try diesel--that willmake a gas engine smoke like hell and rattle like a can of rocks.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.... W.C.Fields

Thanks for all the ideas. Trust me if I had the time I would set up on him and give him so good old country boy justice. Mike at N. Texas Fiberglass is going to install a locking gas cap for me since he already has my boat for some other work. It will definitely be an improvement on my crud homemade set up I put on it.
