If you got money in the boat a little protection aint gonna hurt. You screw up the keel and it will cost ya big time to fix the fiberglass. Just ask those who know, Hamby's is the only way to go period. Best protection and when were dry you have to beach the boat or stumps are really stickin up they protect the thing like a tank. NTF is the best to have em put on to. Mines been good and its awesome for the protection of the keel.

I have a KeelGuard. I'll never own a boat that doesn't have either a KeelGuard or Hamby's on it. Inexpensive insurance in my opinion.

I had a Hamby's installed by Rockwall Marine. I had to use it for the first time yesterday. The courtesy dock at the ramp I tried to use was to shallow to get to. So I had to use the boat ramp to pick up my partner(My wife). She got it without getting wet.

We used it again at the ramp when we left. She got a little wet this time as the wind was blowing pretty good and we had a mis-communication problem.

I checked the Hamby's when I got home and could not tell where it made contact with the ramp.

Glad I had this done.

Thanks,
Tommy at Rockwall Marine.

PS
I will be calling Eldon tomorrow morning. Need to get lower unit serviced and have questions about trolling motor shaft repair.

Have a Hamby's on my Champion for a long time now. I won't ever have a boat without one. You just don't have to think were you can beach at. I go to Broken Bow lake in Oklahoma about 4 times a year and it is all rock, and have never had a problem.
