Danny/Randy,

I'm retiring the 27th of Jan so I will be available if you need some help with the tournaments.

As you know, I've only fished 5 or 6 tournaments in the last three years so I'm not sure how much help I would be.

If you need to talk to me, my number is (281) 669-2053 (Rings in Iraq)or email me.

Tommy

Ensignjason,

Yes, I'm on Iraq now. I've been in this area, (Iraq/Afghanistan) since May 2002. I've been doing this kind of work for 16 years, so it's time to start doing the things I like to do. (fishing/hunting)

I am working on Belton, I am gathering intell right now the only thing I am worried about is places to stay for the fisherman. Not a real big deal just better if belto had a place to stay..

Belton Not out of the question just give me a chance to put it together.

Thanks for the consideration. Belton being a Corp of Engineers lake is one of it's best features in my opinion. It does prevent lake side lodging however. There are numerous Motels within 10 to 15 minuites of a boat ramp. If I can help with info on local lodging please let me know.

Somebody sign that Tommy Thomson up. Sounds like he will be ready to play when he gets out of sandbox.

The only gripe I have with the TSA is it is just too far from me to have a good time fishing these tourneys. I am sure there would be a lot to pick up and learn from the guys that regularly fish these things. Maybe I can try and fish one or two this year, if I can find somebody looking for a partner. I have gotten to where I just don't like hauling the boat very far with the gas prices... It wouldn't have to necessarily be a lure trip for me, as I have finally seen the need for the dark side, lol. I love fishing lures more than anything, but there are times that you will flat out get it handed to you fishing with only lures. Sure it could be fun to have it only have it be lures only, but that could also be detrimental to the tourney as well. The thing I have learned over the past few years in fishing, information is critical to making a successful outing. Most people couldn't do much without the help of others. I know I have learned a lot from guides and friends, etc on fishing. Being able to do something during one particular pattern or season, doesn't necessarily correlate to being successful on all the lakes thru the year. Takes time and help of others to be successful on different water and times, at least it seems like it would to me.
