Worst is Kreuz in Lockhart. Best is Luling City Market in Luling, then Black's in Lockhart.

Tried Dicky's BBQ, here in San Antonio. This has got to be the most god awful bbq. This place just open a few months ago here. I don't believe it will last. The brisket taste has if it were boiled in water., it had zero flavor. STAY AWAY FROM DICKY'S IN SAN ANTONIO

Say what you want to say but I still stand by that Underwoods in Brownwood should never be allowed to have BBQ in their logo.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I like the BBQ steak at Underwoods, they also have good potato salad.

The butcher at a meat market tried to convince me to try it. After smoking a brisket for several hours I just couldn't bring myself to put it in a pan of water, cover it and bake it in the oven for a while. I agree Dickey's is over rated and over priced.

Unfortunatly it is hard to find some low-n-slow BBQ at the BBQ joints nowadays. Most of it is cooked using other methods because of time restraints.

When the Rib Crib opened in Tulsa in the 90's - it was great! They had this spicy blueberry BBQ sauce that was delicious. Last time I ate there - well, unfortunately things are not the same.
The one (and only) time I ate at Angelo's in Fort Worth - major disappointment! I had sliced brisket and what was given to me was a huge plate of fat. I probably should have not volunteered to be the designated driver - everyone else seemed to enjoy the food - errr...the beer!

Dougs BBQ out near Canyon Lake. New Braunfels area.
Fortunatley we are blessed with much good BBQ in central Texas BBQ.

Hard 8 BBQ in Stphenville. half the time the staff is drunk and the BBQ is like chewing on a tire. Coppell nothing to write home about either.
