It must of been a year ago, but the most I have ever seen or caught (on accident) was at RED DOT Pier in Corpus Christi. No idea if it was a one night thing. I must have caught 20 of them and an Asian couple was going nuts for them, they filled 2 ice chests from my hook. I think they made a soup with it. I was using dead shrimp at the time.

I catch them all the time in my cast net. Makes great Kingfish bait.
