The extreme is said to be a higher modulus blank.

The Extream Series rods not only have a higher Module count that makes them extremley sensitive, the cork is #1 grade A. The cork on the Dobyns Extreme rods are smooth, and without any blemishes.
If I may quote my self from another forum. "The Dobyns Extreme rods are as Smooth & Sensative As A Prom Queens Thighs".

Blu-Ranger,
If you are asking what Xtreme rod I use. I like the DX733C the best. I have 2 of this model and use them more than any other rods in the rod lockers. Worms, jigs, spooks, buzz baits, spinner baits, etc.

How about a beauty queen, but she would have to know how to fish ahead of time, no time for lessons or taking the fish off the hook for her.

I married the prom queen. I got the best if both worlds. She likes to fish and she had a truck.
The problem is when you buy that $400 reel you can't say "It was on $69.99". She knows better.
Plus it cost you 2 times as much. She likes the high end equipment also.

Ok Sticker since you asked, I use my DX 702C for shaky worms, and I can cast a 3/32 jig with a 4" finesse worm 50 yds. with a high speed TD Zillion and 13# Sunline Defier mono; I use my DX 704C for T-rig and small jigs with a high speed TD Zillion and 17# Sunline Defier mono; I use my DX 705C for C-rig with a high speed TD Zillion and 56# Sunline Bass Super PE-Line braid and a Sunline Shooter Fluorocarbon leader; I use my DX 733C for my soft stick baits and flukes with a slow speed TD Zillion and 16# Sunline Shooter Fluorocarbon; and I use my DX 733C for blades with a high speed TD Zillion and 17# Sunline Defier mono. I have quite a few of the Champion series as well including a nice flipping stick that I am also using as a swimbait rod until I get my dedicated one. I live in Weatherford and see you are in Colleyville. I will be glad to hook up with you for a day on the water and let you handle these rods. My opinion is that once you do you will likely want some of your own. PM me if you want to take me up on my offer.

On a real honest note I will say this I own some powell and own several dobyns yes I am a fishing guide so I use my rods to make a living needless to say now that my season for guiding fishing trips is winding down and its time to bust a duck all of my powell rods are now in the hands of friends and the dobyns remain in my boat i can't even estimate the number of customers that have complimented me on ahow light and well balanced those rods are and of course extremely sensitive best of luck on picking the rod that fits and feels best to you

Well I married the prom queen as well, but I do not have any Idea how that applies to fishing rods. My wife hates me buying fishing rods prom queen or not. I just like to keep my wife and my fishing seperate that is good for me and my health.
