Thrusday Sept 4 Great weather for fishing but catching was hard My wife and I caught 3 keeper fish and a bunch of little croakers and whiting . 2 reds between 21-24 and a blackdrum 19 . Saw a few more keeper reds and specks caught and even a few flounder . Bull reds were still there but not as many as last week .Saw one butt head get nailed by gamewarden for oversize drum and undersize red and no fishing liecense.Man argued with the officer and poof off to jail he went . Drove by the pier this morning didnt have time to fish but I saw 4 keeper reds caught in 1 hour . Also saw a nice flounder caught on mudfish up around the pilings in the shallows . Saw 2 bull reds on a stringer some lady caught . ( GO FISHING LADIES).A freind said he caught 4 nice specks and a flounder in early am off Ballho live bait. Wind was calm and water was slightly green .

when is the cold front supposed to be here?

I HOPE it's not until Saturday... A cold front will start to run the sharks off.

Weds night the 10th

not at all. the sharks wont go into deeper water till the water drops below 65 degrees, which wont be for a while. and whats coming in isnt a cold front, its a cool front, which is actually better for shark fishing during the day. sharks and most fish dont like extremely hot water, which is why more are caught at night when it cools off. with this cool front that came in, as long as the water conditions are right, expect for fishing of all types to pick up.

Hey guys, I frequent the rock piers right off the sea wall. But I have trouble finding fishing reports that are any good to me. Anyone know a site that will give the condition of the water, wind direction, stuff like that?

Well I have to say Day one of my vacation was interesting. Ended up sitting off the end of the jetties for 2 hours waiting for Seatow to come get me back to shore after the starter on my boat went out.

BUT while waiting at anchor my son and I decided to drop out lite rigs with shrimp to see if we could stire up a little something. Ended up with 2 Hardheads, and a 33" 12 pound Red.

I guess it's true if life throws lemons at ya then just make lemon aid...

Boat's fixed now and waiting for day two of the trip!!

Heading out to dinner and then to 61st pier to see if we can wrap up our daily limits.
