On Lake Lewisville and had a visit from the Game Warden, they were very Courteous, was very careful when coming along side, checked everything and all was in order, they wished us a good day and off they went. We saw them at least 5 more times during the next 5 hours but they never bothered us again.
They are doing a good job and should be commended for doing it so professionally.

Agreed. Texas Game Wardens are the best, most professional law enforcement officials around. And that comes from from many years of dealing with them. Keep it up guys!

I've been checked on Lavon once in 12 years......and I was at the ramp loading up to go home. Leroy is courteous and professional though.
anthonyhicks101 for president! Greatness right there.

I saw the police and park rangers today on Travis; they seemed to be doing an outstanding job targetting the boats with party people. I was fishing and got a wave and how you doing.
Didn't do well other then being out of the house.

Anybody else feel like this?
Never been checked. Funny thing is I always try make certain everything is spot on legal in the boat.
First time I forget something is when I'll get checked.

I have absolutely NEVER had a bad experience with a game warden. I have been checked several times. The way I see it...if I go out of my way to be sure that I am legal, they will go out of their way to be nice and courteous. Anybody around Brownwood remember Leroy? I heard so much guff about Leroy about how big a jerk he was and all. Finally got checked by him and he was probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Chatted with me for about 30 minutes about fishing after he checked everything. Wonder what ever happened to him???

If you fish Fayette County on a regular basis, you will get checked, that's a promise. I'm sure it had to do with the fact that new licenses were required on Saturday.
