weight size will vary on the action you want and the size of the minners you using.

In the lower lip. I think that keeps them alive longer.
You can get minnows by the pound at a gas station just this side of Lake lewisville (off of 35E). I think it's an Exxon/Bait Store.

OK Hubcap, I will give you the answer you have been fishing for since you started this post.
You bite the head(don't swallow barf) off of the minner and thread it on a jig just like a tube and fish it just like a jig. This method will produce a lot of times better than live minners or jigs.
Of course some can't stomach biting the head off, so you can pinch off or cut off the head in stead. nuts
Your list is now complete.

Grandpa said to hook them through the eyes for 2 reasons. 1. a fish eats another fish normally head first.....and 2. that way the little bugger can't see whats going after him.....sorta like the blindfold thing in a execution.

Putting a smokeing section in a single room resturant is like putting a pee area in a swimming pool.

crappie1,
Is it true that you dive in to recover your minnows?

wink

If I recall right, didn't you almost knock me out of the boat trying to "save" a headless minnow?

smile
