I'd like to nominate this as "thread of the year" for obvious reasons...I'm still laughing, this is great!

Ronnie, are you sure it's a largemouth x smallmouth cross? I'd swear that thing has some Rio Grande Perch mixed in there somewhere. Definately contact TPWD. Whatever it is, bound to be a lake record for Ray Hubbard. BTW, I've heard of the 'peanut', but what area of the lake has this flower gardens place? Got any GPS waypoints? You can PM me if you don't want to post em up on here. And I gotta tell ya man for a homeboy from Mesquite to have groupies is just way cool! I thought only those guys like Ike had em but I learn sumthin new ever day here on this forum.
Excelent thread btw.

LOL

Ray Hubbard's my home lake and i just never seen anything like that come outa there before. I sure hope he went ahead and called in about it - specially with all the good reminders he's been gettin on here. rolfmao

yea.. welllll... our upstair neighbors lift wieghts all night long and let them slam on the floor... I cant count how many times I have stood on the bed and beat onthe ceiling until my knuckles were bloody at 3 in the morning..... office wont do anything about it.... wife wont let me do anything to them! Jailtime aint worth it..... they are probably "packin nines" as well... if you catch my drift.... My only remedy is they go to sleep at about 8 am until 2pm.... I get up on saturday and sunday and pop in STARWARS, turn up the bass all the way on the surround sound and blast the volume..... LOL!! I jsut started doing this 2 weeks ago... noise has quitened down after about 11pm these last few days.... LOL!! Just picked up another STARWARS (volume3) tonight... cant wait to watch it this saturdaY!! Woo HOOO!! fight fire with fire....

Hail yeah! I just thought I had it bad. That Star Wars trick sounds like a mighty fine idea - might have to try that. All I got to complain about is a family of inbred yahoos with a corn fed mamma who'll go about 350. She aint so bad cept for that whiney high pitched screechy grate on yer last nerve voice that you can hear 2 blocks away when she's screaming at her kid. Between their Rottweiler who likes to play soccer at 3am with his ball and the dang bi-polar kid who throws such fits I'm expecting something to come crashing through the flimsy a$$ ceiling at any time it gets purty wild. My daughter says it sounds like elephant bowling goin on up there. LOL

The husband likes LOUD trucks and he ain't scaired none to fire one up cold and go to red lining the thing setting right out front in the parking lot about 10' from my window. Last winter I was expecting to hear a rod come flying outa the block at any minute. I swear when it was 15 dang degrees outside, he'd go out and do that 3 or 4 times a day! Prolly cause that's the way hiz Uncle-Daddy done it back when he was growing up.

Yours has got to be worse though, because mine usually shut er down by 11 and stay quiet till 6 in the morning (cept fer the soccer dog). I think I'm gonna have to get me some of that Star Wars stuff - I do like that idea.

Ronnie, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that what you have there is not a bass at all, but rather a some type of cichlid. However, I wouldn't know what variety. There are several cichlid types that can grow to large proportions. For instance, the "Jack" cichlid can grow to 36" Take the juvenile in the link below and grow him up a bit:

(You'll have to re-assemble the link cause TFF won't let me add hyperlinks:

It's funny how this thread keeps on going, even after it was acknowledged that the fish is actually a grouper caught on a recent excusion to the coast! LOL

As seen before, people do not read the thread.

Thats why these threads keep popping up, its too entertaining watching, like the proverbial train wreck.......
