On Texoma I've caught a "mean mouth" that looked like a mix between a smallie and a spotted bass. It was dark brown like a smallmouth but had the lateral line like a spotted bass. It also had the lines around the jaw like a smallmouth.
I later asked about the fish and was told that it was a mean mouth. I don't know if that is accurate but the fish sure looked like a cross.

 I found this posted on the web. It says it was a Mean Mouth bass, it was listed on the Table Rock lake Guide Service website. Bill McCurry - 4 1/2 lb. Mean Mouth Bass caught April 19th, 2005

My buddy caught this a few weeks ago while noodling in OK.  No photoshop skills, or I would have edited out a hand.

and a "released to live anonther day" shark as well. I admire these beach shark fisherman.. as they catch, photgraph, and release unharmed.... Kudos to them!!
