I doubt it seriously. Now if someone was talking me through it, like in the movies, maybe I like to think this. I've done this with other equipment and such.

Depends, did you spend the night at Holiday Inn Express? If not, then it is going to be a real OH S--T moment.

Every time I played Flight Simulator back in the day, my landing ended with a cracked windshield, so I'm gonna say no. Now the wife would have no problem since she used to have a pilot's license and landed small planes many times.

Cirrus has a new one you just press a red button in case pilot is incapacitated and it returns home automatically. To answer you question it depends. If the plane is at a steady altitude under control I think I could with help from the tower. If the dude is leaning over and it’s in a dive I probably ain’t recovering. "Help from the tower" may be of no more use than talking to your dog - if you even manage to figure out how to communicate with someone, it's likely not "the tower." It's more uncommon than common that ATC personnel have a pilot's license. There have been successful instances, but they aren't considered very common. We don't know much about many cases as they are likely to be ruled "loss of control for unknown reasons." When there are no survivors there is nobody to explain how ort why the accident played out. Even if you are in level controlled flight, you must eventually approach the ground. An aerodynamic stall is the most likely outcome - that's where the uncontrolled rapid descent come into play. I once witnessed an airliner do just that, entering an accelerated stall just before impact resulting in the loss of all aboard. All true but I’m gonna die trying- worst thing you can do is panic. What does the YouTube guy that discusses crashes talk about- the first thing you do - aviate…

Chatgpt will assist me in a flawless landing assuming I know the year make and model of a plane.
1. Contact Air Traffic Control (ATC) Use the radio: Press the push-to-talk (PTT) button (usually on the yoke or center console) and say: “Mayday, mayday, mayday. I am a passenger. The pilot is incapacitated. I need help landing a Cessna Grand Caravan EX.” Frequency to try: 121.5 MHz (emergency) or 118.0–135.0 MHz (check if tuned to a local tower or center). ✈️ 2. Stabilize the Aircraft Hold the yoke gently level. Don’t yank it. Use the rudder pedals only if you need to keep the plane straight. Check your altitude and airspeed: Ideal approach speed is around 85–95 knots. Throttle control: Reduce the power gently (pull throttle lever toward you) to begin a slow descent. 🧭 3. Set Up for Landing GPS/Navigation system (Garmin G1000 or similar): Look for an airport (e.g., type “NRST” or use “Direct-to” for nearest airport). Select one with a long runway (4,000+ feet is ideal). Autopilot (if on): Use “NAV” or “APR” mode to help guide you to an airport if ATC instructs you. 🛬 4. Approach and Land Slow to 85 knots by reducing throttle and lowering flaps (white arc on the airspeed gauge indicates safe flap range). Flaps are usually lowered in increments: 10°, 20°, then full. Align with the runway: Use small yoke and rudder inputs. Final approach: Keep the nose slightly above level. Gently reduce throttle to idle just before touchdown. Touchdown: Keep the plane straight using rudder. Let the aircraft settle on its own wheels. Brake gently. Pull back slightly on the yoke while braking. ✅ 5. After Landing Throttle to idle. Mixture to cut-off (red knob full back). Fuel shutoff if you can find it. Turn off ignition and master switch. Wait for help. 🧠 Key Tips Let ATC or any experienced pilot guide you—follow their instructions exactly. You’re flying a forgiving and stable airplane. Many people have landed planes with no experience by staying calm and listening carefully. Want a step-by-step cockpit visual reference too?

Brian, if you observe people in roadway traffic, I think you'd have to agree many are challenged to operate even a motor vehicle - usually in two dimensional space. Rudder? where's that? what does it do?

I've never encountered a motor vehicle I couldn't handle.
