Just bought a new Honda at Northern Tool. If you open a new account you get $75.00 off, plus $50.00 rebate, plus $20.00 off coupon at counter in their store brochure. Can't beat that with a 5 year warranty!

Thanks everyone. Electric? I'm out. Two reasons I'm in the fuel business. If they made a gas powered screwdriver I'd use it. When the spawn of satans go on their 3 a.m. benders next door, I can't annoy them at 6:30 with a battery. Duh. The mower was annoying, but the cut off muffler on the commercial weedeater hurts them really badly.
Does anyone make a non-steel deck? The honda still runs strong, but the rest of it rusted out. There is no escape from the air here.

^^^The EGO mowers are just as powerful if not more than most gas mowers. I am concerned with all the plastic and how it will hold up over time but I have an EGO blower it is by far the best blower I have ever used. I have a Toro gas weedeater it is a good one but it/when it dies will definitely repalce with an EGO. Main problem with the EGO mower is the price. Lots of battery mowers in my neighborhood they seem to do a great job and nice you can start earlier with very little noise.

They all seem to last no more than 1 or 2 seasons, then replacing the battery is about half the price of the mower.

I mostly mow with my zero turn, but I have a few spots that need a small push mower - I bought one of the walk behind self propelled type Honda mowers a few years ago when Honda said they were going to quit making gas engines, bought it at Home Depot. However I do keep seeing them being sold. After 3 months the self power drive went out, couldn't find a mower shop that would work on it even though it was still under warranty. They kept telling me they would not work on a mower bought from Home Depot. Home Depot reps even gave me the contact info for who to call to get the work done with. I called Home Depot back to tell them what their two top warranty vendors said and they just said "Huh that's not right" ended up taking it to an older man who repairs all types of small engines in the neighborhood and he fixed it for $100. So for what it's worth, go to a local mower shop and buy it.
I'd be a little iffy about a ZTR next to the water. They aren't known for their great traction ! Push mowing seems the safer route even at Pat's advanced age !
