All the tours are already scheduling on top of each other as it is, and you want to cut out 4-5 months they can schedule???... The host venues want you there when the big fish are the easiest to catch... Lake Fork is on the BASS schedule for May 8th not August 8th for this very reason... Money talks... Dan

Who has been fired? And what's about to be split open? And what's the reason these guys are being "targeted" by BASS? I find it hard to believe BASS targeted Scott, then published an article on their website about praising him for turning himself in, and then had him on BASS live a few days later. And before you tell us the conspiracy started when he wasn't invited to BASS after the BASS/MLF split, remember that he wasn't invited to the BPT either.

I'm sure there is all kinds of behind the scenes [censored] going on at BASS, like almost any other organization in "sports" or gambling....whatever you want to call fishing. And no doubt some is to protect their image. I just don't see how that justifies admitted cheaters (like Martin) not getting punished. Not sure what your love fest with Scott Martin is about, but he hasn't had many people in the industry come to his defense......there's probably a reason for that.

I didn’t realize smallmouth are on beds 5 months out of the year. Most tours don’t head north until later in the year when they aren’t on bed, stick to that and you want be catching the same bed fish over and over. It’s do able.

Smallmouth are very, very, very aggressive on the bed... I've broken off a grub many times and pitched back in caught the fish and got my grub back while they're on the bed... According to AI, New York, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota all have a closed season on bass... I've seen beds on St. Clair in late July, Lake Charlevoix in August... It all depends on the weather... Now, couple that with the heat in the south during the summer, the outcry of fisherman concerned about delayed mortality because of high water temps... With your logic all major fishing organizations would only have a few months to get their seasons in... Again, why is BASS at Fork this week and not some random week in August???... Hint... Because Tackle Warehouse is paying a lot of money to sponsor the event and wants Fork to pump out as many 100+lbs limits as possible so the can sell a whole lot of lures those guys used to catch bass on Fork... I don't hear most of the competitors complaining. They either followed the rules, or were smart enough not to get caught.

Your original argument was that a marshall in the boat was worthless because they regulated a particular instance with bed fishing smallmouth differently. I can assure you, that marshalls at all levels that have gotten rid of co anglers are of value. Go pros as a sort of officiating tool is a joke at the opens level. Ever had a go pro overheat? ALL THE TIME.

What are you rambling about? Smallmouth on beds are about the easiest fish in freshwater to catch, correct. You can oftentimes catch them over and over again, correct. There are seasons for them, yes.

My logic is sound and is what is happening with the elite series. yes, they wont be at fork in August it has nothing to do with Tackle Warehouse.

I have yet to hear an angler say a polygraph was incorrect.

What I have heard is anglers simply have a different interpretation of the rule.

Seems like everytime they’ve “had a problem” with a question, there has been a story to go
with it. That tells me even the angler deep down feels like they may have crossed a line and are generating a reaction. If they were 100% certain they were operating within the rules, I don’t think it would show up on the polygraph.

I think people can convince themselves they are right and beat a polygraph, I doubt anyone is going to
be 100% confident and get a false negative. Here is saying he passed the polygraph, meaning there was no deception. Seems the issue isn’t the polygraph results, but a disagreement on what is and isn’t a rule violation.

The way the rules are written it does not say no information what so ever, it says to “intentionally” receive info. Here. Said he was never asked about intent, I do believe that is a problem. He never asked for info, his buddy stated if you caught them on spot A I bet they are on spot B, he had already fished spot B, he didn’t receive any advantage. I think it’s troubling a BASS official wouldn’t sit down with him and the polygrapher to clarify the exact rule that was broken.

The guy who published the article got fired. bass fired him. Scott did pass a polygraph administered by likely a tenfold more credible examiner than bass is using. Everyone, EVERYONE knows polygraphs are junk science and Matt/Ike points it out. Also point out how if bass wants you gone or a few shower buddies, they can get you gone.
