I don't know how his NFL career will turn out, but Shadeur has the highest career completion percentage of any Division 1 quarterback in history. Colorado's offensive line was better in 2024, but his first year there he was running for his life on every play. They couldn't have kept the Golden Girls from getting to the quarterback.

Colorado won one game the year before Shadeur got there, four his first year, and nine this past year. He obviously had a lot of help, but to say he didn't win doesn't really tell the whole story.

The way he presented himself certainly didn't help his draft stock. A quarterback is typically a team leader and the face of the franchise.

I think he will be a decent NFL quarterback.

That’s a fact that oline was horrendous, and zero running game to speak of either year. Is game was actually way more balanced at Jackson state.

His talent was USFL level, not NFl-
He held on to hope but it looks like his ceiling has been reached-

For the Browns that's a pretty good pick, not alot of money spent if it works out. Make him earn a big contract.
Now the Browns biggest problem is dumping Watson. IMO, they should just pay him whatever they owe him
and let him go he is not going to help them in anyway on or off the field.
The young guys are going to learn more form Flacco than Watson on how to be an NFL qb. If
Sanders listens to anyone. Gabriel will more than likely be a sponge and take it all in.
Once again this is a totally Browns thing to do take 2 qbs in a draft. If you watch the video of the "war room"
after the selection was made the HC & GM nor anyone else in that room had much enthusiasm after that pick.
I suspect this was an ownership pick for some reason.

If Sean Payton thought Sheduer was all that and a candy bar why didn't he draft him in the 3rd round???... Every team, and I mean every team needs a capable backup for when, not if their starter goes down... Heck, draft him put him on the bench, wait till the end of training camp or the trade deadline when some team is desperate for a QB and flip him for a first rounder next season... So YES!!! It was all a bunch of smoke driven by the Sander's Smoke and Hype Machine Inc....
