Just have him meet you at the meadomere ramp. The big parking lot is permit only, but the other parking lot about 50 yards south is general public parking. No charge for him if he does this.

Look at the map, when you drive in you will see the sign around the yellow star area marking the permit only parking.

T Bird, click on to the website at the bottom of my signature, that will pull up his website or better just call him direct. He will either answer or call you back pretty quickly.

My son and I did fish Saturday for a few hours. It was windy and but otherwise a nice day. I checked the areas where I have found fish the last 3 trips and was much less successful. We did catch a few fish at Murrell, Bass Point and the hump in the large cove -

Other spots had nothing that we could find. Most of the fish we did catch were small. It was a mix of MAL lures and white jigs. Skunked on crank baits etc.

I know I am late with this but an alternative to Meadowmere for picking someone up is Dove Loop ramp. Just park in one of the car spaces above the trailer parking. This is where I have my son meet me if he comes over after work mainly because it is a short idle to the dock.

I fished around Merrell 3x this week from my yak. Went from about sun up till 11am. Trying to get some sand bass for a nice little fry...

I was definitely getting plenty of bites. But only had one keeper each trip, which I released. I caught 15 to 20 each time that we're 8-9 inches. See photo. Also caught a few small LMB on topwater each trip. No sandies hitting on top that I saw. Shad all over. Not right up on the bank per se... but all around the banks with some out deeper in 15-20 FOW as well.

Lots of fish around just not the right ones.

I finally got a sand bass on my MAL lure! Got a few on it actually. However the majority came on a shad rap crankbait.

like 5:00 AM, guy rolls up yelling at me "Get off the spot"

Of course it was prosise, the boat is unmistakable. Made me laugh

We got a lot of bites today from small ones

B Prosise apparently forgot something and the blonde prosise was hustling to go get it. I can tell he is a good teammate to have. And it's always fun to get the smartass commentary when brent rolls up.

Ended up going for some catfish based on shad all over every inch of bank and so easy to catch. One of my casts was a taco and I still caught shad.

I gave it away as I was catching it too, saved one fella a few minutes of getting his net out and put away.

Also, in order to not hurt anyone's feelings, I am announcing a new policy change in my boat [serious but fun]:

No keeping green fish caught on grapevine - Unless sharelunker, because the dog loves to eat those

Also anyone using prosise way points is subject to fishing shame if they eat bass when so much other food is easy on that lake! We can't make that a rule but we can wag our fingers

Cats caught at twin coves where prosise described

Guest came out with me and he took a zillion pics. The one looks like I am in love with my fish. Not wrong.

Thanks Russ, you da man.. Me and my son had a stellar day. Fishing & baseball. We got up at 430am and fished until 10am, ran home and got ready for baseball. Double header was amazing, and ended at 7pm. It's damn cool when my son comes up and hugs me and says "thanks Dad, that was a great day". We caught fish at the mouth of twin, and the shad spawn is going on strong at sunrise on main lake. We had 4 cats over 5 pounds, many good sandbass, a good crappie, big drum, and one good spot within 50 yards. We were slow rolling a big spinnerbait, a squarebill, and a drop shot. No big green fish but I'mgoing to try hard tomorrow to connect.

Actuary - I hope you found some fish of any size. I was out all-day Saturday. I hit them good first hour against the bank with the shad spawn going strong. But from then on all I could only find the 6 and 8 inch fish. I worked every spot I could think with the 40 yrs on this lake and no large fish to speak of. They were hiding well.

Edit.... I didn't hit Twin Coves mouth....[censored]. Sounds like the place to be.

We were at TC mouth and prosise caught some there, we did fish there a little but my partner was constantly hanging up and we both felt beat down from the wind, so we we in TC for wind protection. Did catch small sandies in there scattered

At the mouth partner did have a big one on but the line broke. The forecast said 6 to 7 mph wind until 10

But By 9 was already a steady 15 from the worst direction on grapevine. That is the one major issue I have...I am not good in the wind

I will be out there from 4:30 till dark. I'll be bouncing around looking for the ellusive keeper sandbass.
Should be good and muddy after today's rain.
