From what I just read they are not very similar at all. Your story has a group of people beating on one individual who was backed into a corner. About the only thing similar is that they used a knife. I still think the thug will take a plea deal unless they have video proof that Karmelo was backed into a corner which I just don't see happening.

That is the temptation. I can be a hothead and if someone murdered one of my family whom I am charged with protecting I'd want vengeance. That's the wrong way to go though.

Strange how the Christian thing is the opposite and is absolutely the hardest thing to do but apparently the father of the young man stabbed in the heart is striving to do that. Bless him for that.

As far as pit bulls go, I’m torn. I’ve met many that are excellent family dogs. Bigger Picture? Wed be safer with more golden retrievers and yellow labs.

It’s beyond me how much support has been given to a kid that stabbed another kid, regardless of the circumstances. What happend to fighting with fists.

It's called restitution. If the kid is convicted, I'm sure restitution will be applied. Probably a civil suit to follow. There always is.
I doubt he's convicted at this point though. The media did their thing and spun the story for divisiveness. Minds are already made up. It will be impossible to find 12 impartial people for the jury.

He should be scared.
He has earned it.
