I have a friend who used to refer the races at Yello Belly as the "N-word Nationals".

And yes, he would use that word. peep

This track is starting to get a lot of attention.
Used to go back in the day and have made a few runs down that "very short shut down" track. Only attended during daylight hours.
Some of the fastest money ever made, we would load up and ice chest full of Schlitz malt liquor bulls. We could sell out in a matter of minutes after we arrived. Good times!

Saw a big block LUV launch up and blew the finders off and won $500 on that race there...

I’ve been down that track 100’s of times. I liked to watch the bets against me ….my car was turquoise and black. They’d be yelling $100 blue, $100 blue….then I’d purge the nitrous…$500 green!! $500 green!

I never felt threatened, but I never felt safe either. It was always a little dicey. Used to run low 6’s in a 65 Olds 442 with no cage, ETStreets. Drove it there, run it, drove it home.

Is yellow belly just a 1/8. I haven't been in close to 40 years but I thought it was a 1/4

1/8. With about an 1/8 to slow down too. Hahaha. Scary as [censored].

Realistically, it was longer than an 1/8 to slow down, but not by a whole lot. The starting line atmosphere I will NEVER forget.

I was in the bathroom one day, I think I was the only white boy there. Not gay, but DAMN!! I honestly thought the guy was draining a radiator. I told him he was blocking out the sun and stay away from my wife. Haha. Made a friend that day. He offered me some “burr ana blunt”. I said no thank you…as white as a white boy could say it.

We used to roll out there with Byron and Preacher. Preacher was a teacher. We all ran Oldsmobiles. Cheap built 455’s with 400 to 600 worth of nitrous till it blew up. Then buy another 455 from a delta 88 or whatever we could find for $400.
