that's what I have lost in my 401k.... retirement just went a lil further out.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.
If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

that's what I have lost in my 401k.... retirement just went a lil further out. I am right there with you, but it is not a loss unless you sell. I have 6+ years before I will consider retirement so I know it will bounce back before my time. I took a worse beating in the 2021 to 2023 down turn in the market. It does hurt to watch.

I invested in a 401k/IRA for over 35 yrs. I retired 3 yrs ago and have not touched the taxable portion of it.
When I retired my money guy and me sat down and figured what I had put in all those yrs .
I had put in 23 percent of what was in there.
If I had put it in a mattress it would have been worth less than a 1/4 of what I had. Investing is a long term game.
If swings in the market makes you real nervous maybe the stock market isn’the right investment vehicle for youu.
Like the guy said you haven’t made money or lost money until you sell . JMO
