I found this:

Last Friday, B.A.S.S. announced the 2025 Elite Series schedule, featuring diverse fisheries that should set the stage for an exciting and unpredictable season. Alongside that release, the organization announced a change in the timing of the no-information rule, stating Jan. 1, 2025 as the start day of the rule. Today, that changed.

After consistent feedback from Elite Series pros, B.A.S.S. will revert back to the rule stating that starting immediately (Sept. 8, 2024), anglers may not get information from any source that is not publicly available on the 2025 Elite Series venues or the 2025 Bass Pros Shops Bassmaster Classic. Additionally, B.A.S.S. is adding EQ (Elite Qualifiers) anglers to this ruling. To be clear, effective immediately, both Elite Series anglers and EQ anglers are prohibited from getting outside information on 2025 Elite venues.

Quillback, the rule you posted went into effect 1/1/25.

If Martin got info before that date it should be a moot point. He would have been under 2024 rules which would not have affected him in this instance.

Again, what rule did he violate? Had to have been since January 1st.

Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

Thank you sir. Guess Martin’s infraction was before 9/8/24.

The rules went into effect right after they announced schedule. If you recall they originally had no no info rule for like 4 days then changed it. Around August.

Last year, it was 30 days prior to and including official practice.
Other than publicly available or info shared between competitors entered in the event which was fine.

When was Martin alleged to have solicited info? I’ve got to be missing something?

For 5 or 6 years it has been no information the instant the Elite schedule is released. Not sure where you got the 30 day rule.

Not the 1st time in recent history people on the forum claimed B.A.S.S. would fail. roflmao

It won’t fail- no shortage of goobers willing to part with their money thinking they are pros when they aren’t.

The 2025 Elite schedule was announced on 09/06/2024. They changed back to the old no information rule on 09/08/2024. You basically had 48 hours without a no information rule.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but these youngsters are schooling these BASS veterans. Martin is big on FSS and he and Zaldain got spanked in the classic.

I think its a matter of time that Zaldain will be next. Just saying.

Not to state the obvious but he made the cut and finished 20th. He set the opens wieght record last year using it in Perspective mode. I wasn't gonna reply because I can't see how what you said has anything to do with the current situation.

I think Scott is just living up to the Garmin tag line in his commercials…”tell a new fish story”…😆 They’ll have to change it to “got told one too many fish stories”

The information rule is pointed to “the lake”. Martin should have avoided getting information on similar waters that aren’t part of the tournament waters. 100% clear from his video that’s what he did. Reading the BASS info rule that’s not black and white illegal to the rule. It’s arguably against the spirit of the rule. It’s a technique he would have been better off staying away from. BASS Elite pros do fish a sister lake or water knowing they fish similarly.

Some of them get very close to a rule but don’t intend to cross the line. You are up against the best in the world. Anything you think that’s legal and gives you a better chance to win you may think you need competitively. Some of them stay way back from the line to prevent situations such as this.

Elite anglers cannot solicit, gather or intentionally receive any
information to gain a competitive advantage from anyone other than another Elite
series competitor in the tournament. Elite anglers cannot buy or barter, any
information to gain a competitive advantage.

Talking about a lure at anytime or discussion of FFS use with anyone but another Elite Series angler would fit this.
