I don't know if hogs specifically target morels, but I've ran across patches of ground that looks like it's been gone over by a runaway rototiller.
If they were just after mushrooms, I don't know why they would root up large areas of ground.

Just saw a report on FOX about the morels. I feel very confident I may have them on my property in Arkansas but I’ve never seen them as far as I know.
