I didn't know people still wrote checks. Well I’ve bought 3 new boats the past 10 years walked in a wrote check every time- what are you going to do- walk in with a suitcase full of cash? This ain’t a drug deal in the movies…😆 Cash is easier. I had a cashiers check for the boat I just bought. Turned into a fiasco and a two week back n forth to the point I almost said screw it. Between 2 individuals they make me nervous, sold a few and I like to meet at the bank and have them write me one direct from the bank.

I had a Tacoma I sold a few years ago guy wanted to pay me cash, I told him meet me @ the bank with cashiers check and I'll bring the truck or no deal. Security gurard in the bank lobby looked at us the whole time like we were doing a drug deal.

Get a new bank Almost did that. Chase bank, where the money originally came from, goofed up the wire transfer…had to wait for that to get returned. Then Chase gave me a certified check, TO ME. I had to deposit that into my personal account. Wait for it to clear, then do a wire transfer again, from my personal account to his CU. It was not fun. Cash would have done the deal in 30 minutes.

I think a large portion of fiberglass rolls comes from Canada.
I believe in what is happening, And i think it needs to happen. But reality for me is a high probability i will loose my job, since I am currently working for a shipper. Just gotta see how everyone reacts. will be an interesting 2 weeks for me.

The newish V12 600s, the new V10 400s, and the V8 and V6 are all made in Wisconsin, USA, and the plant is really state-of-the-art. Mid range Mercs are made in a “Mercury-owned” plant in China, but are of US design. (Like anything in China is really and truly “owned” by us?) Smaller Mercs are made by Tohatsu in Japan.

... Dan Many of the parts probably come from over seas though- still a new cost.

Skeeter will have price increases not matter what. They have just about every year dating back to 2008 that I can recall. So have most other boat manufacturers.
