What’s the secret to getting pool back after a ton of pollen has landed in it? chemicals perfect, vacuum been running, filter non stop. It’s not even summer and I’m already hating this hole.

Use clarifier then make sure you backwash the filter. Sometime it’s a slow process.

You'll probably have a total hate relationship. It's a money eater. If you really enjoy the pool it's doable but for most it's just another expense.

Check your pressure if you have a sand filter. If it is 10psi higher than normal, you need to backflush til the water is clear coming out. Then rinse and return to filtering. Run your Polaris too if you have one or a robotic vaccum. It is a PITA. I hate our pool as well. It came with the house and it is a major expense. Unfortunately it would take $20K to bust it up and fill it in with compacted dirt.

We love our pool. Even if it means slaving over it for a few hours a week. The enjoyment I get when I can jump in and cool off anytime, outweighs the leaves, debris, etc.
