That's good to hear. A good heavy down poor would be fantastic. I know I've fished them well into April. If we get rain, I'll make the trip. If i can.

Hookj2Fish,
I fished Somerville yesterday evening,(main lake) and this morning with fair success.
I was surprised to see the abundance of Roe in the females, they were NOT spawned out.
The males were still carrying milt too. The lakes a little more than 2' below pool level but,
we have a forecast 2-4" of rain for Thursday-Friday. If we get that rain and creeks flow I think we could
still have a creek spawning run. Last year we had a big rain and the creeks that were dry
rose overnight, and fish were in there within about 48 hrs. Hoping for flash flooding this week!

Howdy Sir, Were they up shallow chasing shad or out on the humps and sandbars?

J-Moe
They were in about 12' water but suspended at about 6' and very scattered.
Did not find one school of bunched up fish either day. Sending a little more detail in a PM thumb

Heading to Somerville this Thursday...for the weekend. I have not been this spring. Looking forward to spending some time away from work and maybe play with some fishies!

I was at cedar creek this weekend. Grass was deep and water was shallow, not much flow either. Got a few small large mouth, a tiny crappie and a smaller sized mail white bass. Didn't get skunked but not much else was going on. This has been my only trip this year, and I didn't know if I would have another chance so we decided to go any way. FYI.
