My brother in law, yes that brother in law. Had a Cane Corso( Italian Mastiff) That is the only dog I was actually scared for my life from. He went to Sturgis one year asked me to let her out in the evenings to potty. Gave specific instructions, open the door, back away, let her do her business, and when she decides to go back in, ease the door shut. Three evenings in row, no issues. Fourth evening, I stumbled over some carp in the car port. When I opened the door, she came at me, I leaped over one of his bikes and she kept coming. Once she sensed my fear, it was on. He had trained her to ease up and back off, by yelling "IZZY DOWN!" ... the word "DOWN" completely left my vocabulary. I could get OFF, NO, STOP, QUIT, GO..... not DOWN though. I picked up a giant pipe wrench he had laying around and was fixing to defend myself. Finally she ran off to whiz. I went got in my car until she eased back in the house. I snuck up like a ninja. When I shut the door, she went full Cujo on it. I ran to the car and got the H out of dodge. I called him let him know to expect a house full of whiz and feces when he got home, cause this ninja ain't doing that again. From that day till she died, I swear she'd look at me and smirk at my biotch arse and laugh. I want a Cane Corso. Beautiful dogs.

My grown son had some huge pits with small kids there and they scared me.

There was this crazy liberal lawyer lady and her husband had two of them . Lived in an Apt . These dogs terrorized the neighbors in the hallways . Police called several times --- and the lawyer lady used the system to let her keep her dogs . One day , something triggers these two dogs as an elderly lady came out of her Apt , they ripped her to shreds and stood over her dead body and guarded it ---like a prize

a person who protects these dangerous breeds.
I think people who own these breeds should be accountable for the dogs actions, when people are hurt by the dog.

Well one things for sure whether itโs a shep or a pit or a Rottweiler, if you apply great force with a large chain in in area of the nose, mouth, skull, or back when they are aggressive it seems to work better than saying sit boo boo sit.

I guess I don't get the pit bull hysteria. There are on average 43 Americans killed by dogs each year. About 60% of those are killed by pit bulls or groups of dogs that include pit bulls. That means about 25-28 people are killed by pits in the average year.
I guess it's the accountant in me, but running the numbers tells me I have a 1 in 14 million chance of being killed by a pit bull. That seems likely because I have never known of anyone killed by a dog, much less a pit bull. I remember when Lotto Texas started the tickets said there was something like a 1 in 15.6 million chance of winning. Coincidentally, I also never won the lottery.
On the other hand, we did get slammed into and our car totalled by a guy who was texting last November. I'm not planning to start a campaign to eradicate cell phones...or eye liner...or bags of French fries...or crying or misbehaving children in back seats. I guess I believe there is no such thing as life with zero risk. I don't think I would want to live it if there was.

Annual Odds of Being Murdered in the U.S. The U.S. had approximately 21,000 homicides in a recent year.
