Did hpfl have any live coverage? Yes, it was pretty rough to watch with signal issues and they did their coverage in morning.... it was an afternoon bite so there was basically no coverage of the good bags being caught. None. And Luke Dunkin and Fat Cat were really really hard to listen to.

I watched split screen on my laptop. BPT/NPFL kind of fun.
Aside from the $100,000 Christy won what were the payouts from 2nd place on down? Can't find that info anywhere?

I see a lot of names at the top that used to be at the top regularly. Lot of big names in that one, especially being on the same weekend as Toyota, and an Open on Rayburn. All my favorite anglers seemed to be fishing somewhere! Congrats to the real Jason Christie!!!

What was the deal with the guy getting DQed for that same rule that is getting the BASS guys in trouble?? He asked a cameraman how his buddy( contestant) was doing.

FFS is going to fill the pockets of the NPFL owners pockets with gold. The no ffs format will put them on the map in the fishing world. (satire :D)
On a side note, most of the "pros" from other circuits are mostly in very decent physical shape. The rest of the field is 30% fit and 70% had or will have at least a triple bypass in the near future.

I think he asked how he was doing "over there" or something like that and I guess that since he likely knew exactly where his friend was fishing, that was deemed as getting info that could give him an advantage over the field. On another note, not sure a pro has ever been DQ'ed during fishing hours and on the water. I guess the NPFL has no kind of appeals process that 'could possibly overturn it's decision and if they did, the angler would not have a catch for day 3? The "no info" rule It's a good rule by principle, but is almost impossible to be consistently enforced.
