They all spawned in February, they’re already on a post spawn brush pile pattern

When I pass on I want to go like my grandpa, in my sleep.. Not like the screaming folks in the car with him..

Screw the spawn. Chasing them around with a cork is a pita. I like them all grouped up in winter and summer so I can spot lock and wipe out the whole school.....

This I agree with. Not to mention they disappear every time the slightest from rolls in. Especially early in the season. Seems like they’ll come poke around for a day and then a little front rolls through and they bail.

I prefer them on boat docks or bridge pilings, I can never find the shallow in the lakes around me.

Went to aquilla yesterday just to fish from the bank for a couple of hours. Where alot of fish are usually caught from the bank I never got a bite. Minnow and jigs did not work. YET.

Life journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved state.
But rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy carp what a ride!"

In the Longview area they were in shallow water today.

Water temp 62 in different parts of the lake not just north end.

Kept 26 but caught many more.

Well I caught some 30 crappie on minnows and jigs. Jigs caught more by 2-1. Blue body, white tail and metalflake was the best but caught fish on every color I tried. Also caught some 20 bass mostly between 12 and 15 inches. Almost all the crappie were males. Spotted a huge over three pounder and tempted her with jigs and rubbed a minnow all over her face but no dice. Kept four crappie. Had a good time for sure. Less than three feet of water and nests were inches from shore. North west shorelines were best.
