does that style of swimbait always hook them in the lip?

Is that in your “regular spot” that we discussed last year?

not always, a lot of times when fish are really biting it will hook them in roof of mouth, when it was as tough as it was to get bit yesterday, I think i was dragging it so slow that the swimbait laying on its side most of the time.. or maybe it was because those smaller fish have a harder time getting it in their mouths.. now I will be thinking about your observation until next time..

If I gave you my regular spot last year.. I probably gave you a spot I never fish any more. Just kidding.. I have several good spots depending on which way I want to go.. towards the bridge or the other direction which was my preference ... paddled way towards the back yesterday... it was tough bite.. had to hit all my spots coming back and would only get catch one or maybe miss the one bite I did get and then move on.. any spot I gave you would be where you could fish for hours and not have to move far. I didnt find anything good yesterday.
