Light rain here. Real weather supposed to hit around 10 and then a second line around noon. Sunshine by 2PM.

Out for about 3 minutes in Fate. Woke up to cold coffee in pot. I was surprised that internet was on.

The generator woke me up around 11:00 PM. Electricity only off an hour, so was able to go back to sleep.... thumb

This again highlights how fragile our grid is here. 80mph straight line winds consistently cause widespread; prolonged power outages…..and we get those conditions regularly every spring and fall.

Good so far in my area. Pretty good winds came through, but I would estimate the max around 40mph at my place. Thankfully none of the 60 to 70mph stuff. Very heavy rain.

Surprisingly still have power at my place in Temple. Not the norm after big wind.

Still waiting on the storm to come through Longview and get to us on the east side. It is darker now then it was at 6:00 this morning. Channel 3 news out of Shreveport La just cut in with a tornado warning between Pittsburgh and Mount Pleasant Tx. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Got a text from some of the neighbors back behind us about a mile and they lost power. Driving out to HY-80 we saw 1 power pole broken almost in half and pulling on the lines pretty bad. Lots of traffic lights out with people blowing through them like they were not there.
Thankfully we never lost power, just got 28 MPH winds and 2-1/2" of rain really fast.

Just went out for a minute, then back on. No wind right now.

Power out, and big trees down. No damage to houses. We got lucky.

Lost about 1/3 of a pecan tree, which is right over our power line to the house. Hard to believe it didn't take out that line.
