Good riddance Herren, take your pacifier with you to the technologically challenged tour and continue to be irrelevant in “pro fishing”!

Is he gonna go “office space” on his front looker like they did on the printers? That would be a funny video. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-64165-261111-img_4762.jpeg)

So if I was at the ramp the morning of a tournament and walked around saying "good morning, they are on yellow spinnerbaits".. everyone I talked to would be DQed? Someone could have easily put the person Scott was talking to up to this, this could have been malicious.
Its not lost that Roland was, according to rumor, the number 1 info solicitor ever

There might only be 25 anglers fishing that derby by Thursday. I'll record it to see how many risk getting caught (since it's the same penalty as self-reporting immediately,

Unsolicited is not legal. Anglers cannot solicit, receive or gather any information from anyone other than another competitor in the tournament. There not allowed any information that is not available publicly, whether it’s offered casually or not.
This is what Scott and Matt got busted on. Neither claimed to solicit the info.

Are you saying Matt or scott asked for the information?

I’m pretty sure Martin is well versed in law and if he was setup, I hope he sues the [censored] out of them.

Random guy at boat ramp approaches him to chat and gives him his fishing report. Doubt Scott asked a random dude for fishing advice on a lake he lives on, guides on.

Its not lost that Roland was, according to rumor, the number 1 info solicitor ever This is sort of unfair. Roland was tasked by Ray to travel the country promoting the sport. Which meant talking to every single person at the ramp, bait shop, gas station, etc., about fishing... It wasn't like today. There were very few guides, and only a few tournament anglers, so there was no network to draw upon. Who was he soliciting from?

I’m speculating, but I would think there is more to Scott’s story than merely saying hello to someone and that person giving him information, something simple like, “they sure bit my yellow spinnerbait in the grass over by such and such place” I would think there was conversation, questions back and forth, something of substance. Something that would give competitive advantage.
You can’t unhear things, you can’t unsee things, they don’t shut their comments off on YouTube or elsewhere and there are plenty of unsolicited tips there. I get it, that’s public, and so and so forth. But that is nearly the same thing.
Maybe we’ll never know. I hear competitors talking to podcast hosts and it’s right in the edge of information sharing at times…
