Lots of magnum extroverts out there that don’t know when or how to shut up, even in a situation like this, I’ve never met Scott, but he seems like a talker.

It’s stupid and this hurts bass way more than it hurts Martin. We all know why they don’t livestream their tournaments on a platform other than their 1941 era website.

I’ve met and talked to Scott several times. Afaic you couldn’t meet a more humble, common, down to earth person.

Are you implying that what I said was bad? I’m merely saying some folks really like to talk.

No, you are exactly right. He likes to talk and is interesting to talk to. I have heard several people say the opposite and I can’t imagine why, unless there is a huge line behind them and that is understandable. My son and I were always fortunate that we lived in an area where FLW frequented, honestly many stayed or stopped by our town on way to Benton. I have never met Roland but it is easy to see how Scott got his personality.

Looks like Scott will be the next angler to head to NPFL next season. I bet this DQ seals his fate, and he'll get the boot after this season. He can't come back through the opens. He can't shake a minnow like the kids.

I have met him as well and he is a nice guy. They are supposed to talk, that is the way they make a living is talking fishing. The better talker they are the more sponsor money they make. Sounds like a mistake was made and he owned it, refreshing!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

He just wants a classic win anyway, he’ll probably just fish the opens to qualify.

Mulejockey, did Kevin take your lunch money too many times.? 😆I’ve known Kevin a long time. He’s one of the nicest, kindest and most professional people you could EVER meet in the fishing world. Know Scott, too. He’s good one too but very few like Kevin.

Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

Mulejockey didn’t get his money taken from Kevin. Everyone’s perspective or opinions will be different. Catch someone on a bad day or at the wrong time, and all the sudden some has the wrong impression and goes with it, for decades. It’s how the ball bounces. I’ve only met mean fisherman on here, most are nice at the dock, weird.

This is interesting perspective. One bad or perceived bad encounter and these guys get labeled for life.

I was on a dock at Amistad with Gerald Swindle and he came across as the biggest d!ck imaginable. He just came across as arrogant and better than everyone. He stayed on a section of bank all day, when Amistad was in it's hay day that you could catch hundreds of fish but never cash a check. Conversely, met Edwin Ewers down there and he was extremely nice. These guys have to be on their game 24/7 or they get labeled for life. Not saying KVD or Swindle is good or bad but one bad impression or bad day leaves a lasting impression. I know I wouldn't give Swindle the time of day from that one brief encounter.

He’s one of the original scopers and is very good with it. It played a big part of him coming up through the opens just a few years ago.
