Maybe they had an “agreement”
I don’t know any details; but the dog also is different…….was there a gas leak? Some of the old NM homes could use significant updating and a gas leak comes to mind if two people and a dog were found. Of course, gas leaks can also be manufactured and planned Carbon monoxide is what I have been thinking since I heard the report. This! A good actor indeed! Praying to the victim's family and friends.

Unforgiven, Mississippi Burning, and Uncommon Valor. Uncommon Valor wasn’t that great a movie but it had Tex Cobb, the greatest actor and fighter of all time.

I always thought “Hossiers”, “French Connection”, “Unforgiven”, and “Mississippi Burning” were his best work, but he really wasn’t bad in anything. RIP, Popeye.

I don't remember the details but back in the 90's he punched out a guy during traffic altercation, some guy tried to bully him so ex-corporal Hackman USMC dropped him like a bad habit. I always like him for that.
