Just wear them...Got home yesterday from the lake & the wife came out to help me push the boat in the garage. She immediately informed me that I had different shoes on...so this is the 1st EARLY trip I have taken this year & I guess was feeling a little groggy at 3:30 am...but the fish don't care and neither do I...except that the blue ones are my "boat shoes" & do not slip, while the other ones do. They are both "Slip Ins" which is great...will never buy another pair of laces tie shoes. Decided to go early because the forecast was rain all afternoon...and it did rain on me all the way home. The lake was not very busy at all, which is odd for this time of year.

Now...the fishing was pretty good. Fished from just b4 daybreak until 12:30 when it started sprinkling. Ended up with 16 bass...with the biggest going 5.05 & another one going around 4 pounds. All fish caught between 8 & 20 feet deep on Yum Dingers. The water temp was 58-60 degrees & I suspect it will take a hard hit over the next few days with this cold snap. Looked for David (aka minner bucket) on the water, but think maybe he went Monday.

Love the foot ware Steve. Another solid Fayette trip. Good job Sir.


Side Note: Went further south to pre front fish. Was targeting carp. Saw a lot of activity but no carp. Did manage a very nice Channel Cat which was released. Also had a nice hook up but lost the fish. Will be staying home the next couple of days. Going to get the Bluegill tackle ready!

Nice post and fish Steve. I been thinking of picking up some slip-on shoes. I'm afraid of tripping on the loose strings and falling in the water LOL?

Zane...The slip on shoes are great...1st tried them when I had the shoulder surgery & couldn't tie my shoes....but - be sure and buy a pair with a tight pattern on the bottom or you will slip like crazy on wet surfaces. The pic below shows the difference. The one on the bottom is what you want...avoid the top one.
