I want the last sound I hear to be the wife hollering, the headboard hitting the wall and when they roll me out on a stretcher it looks like a Indian tepee ...... Will you die of a heart attack watching the neighbor and wifey?

Compound 10% three month supply $195.00. Yes, my Doc uses the Kelly Pharmacy in Mineola. He told me 40$ for a 2 month supply. The pharmacist has to mix it up. Eye of newt, horn of toad, horse semen, and some bull testicles mashed up.

Bob, I was on testosterone gel for about 4 years and now I'm having prostate surgery. I just turned 60! Its a roll the dice thing. I appreciate all of the opinions so far. Thanks and best of luck with the surgery, they have some high tech treatments now.

Plus, that gel is about $600 to $700 without insurance! 50 bucks with a goodrx coupon- gave it to the pharmacy one time and they’ve never asked again.

Lot of misinformation out there (and here) on it. It’s a personal choice, but if your PCP is recommending it for you at your age and activity level, might be worth looking into. I don’t hear a lot of PCPs bringing it up out of the blue, but I hear a lot about normal doctors pushing back on it when it’s brought up by patients.
I’d buy this book:
Testosterone Optimization Therapy Bible (I can’t get the Amazon link to work here.)
I’d look at some *reputable* sources (there are some on YouTube and other places, but there are a lot of idiots out there, too. Educate yourself and it will help you parse out the BS).
I’m not on it for several reasons, but I’ve learned a lot about it and I’m sure I will get on at some point. It’s not as dangerous as a lot have made it sound, but there are things to know/understand/ be cautious of. There are a lot of upsides, especially at your age (I don’t mean to keep saying that like it’s a bad thing; that’s not what I mean.). A good, proactive practitioner who understands it and you is a must.
