I would do #1 but would add Bob Sandlin to the list which is one of my favorites over any of the others listed. Good idea, didn’t think about that one. Are those little lakes in the Fork area that I listed all good bass lakes? I’m just going off what TPWD says, which all of them are supposed to be good to excellent I have fished Quitman and it was alright and Hawkins was a good night fishing lake but Winnsboro is the best out of them especially in the spring but you do have to know that it is literally filled with big hard East Texas stumps and you wouldn't be doing a ton of running around on it. But have caught some big fish there through the years but just the size of Bob Sandlin gives you a lot more opportunities. It is kind of like fishing a smaller Lake Fork.

I really enjoy those smaller >2000 acre lakes. I’ve caught some of my biggest bass out of them. Are those and Bob Sandlin pretty much the same, as in “generic” east Texas lakes with grass/stumps/docks/stained water?

Stay in Winnsboro and fish Fork, Sandlin and Cypress Springs with lakes Winnsboro and Quitman as backups.
AIRBNB shows some nice places there.

This but stay at Reagans old place whatever their new name is. You will have all the lakes to yourself and no crowds at the trailer park!

They’ve done a really good job updating/redecorating all the trailers. They stay booked solid in the spring, I was lucky to get 2 weekdays in March when I called in December.

If you can get a reservation, you won't be disappointed with the Lucky Lure. I stayed at Regans many times and it was always fine. The new owner, Peggy, of the Lucky Lure is one of the nicest people you will meet and they have really updated the cabins. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if fishing Sandlin and Cypress springs
Good Fishing and God Bless

Idea#5 Rayburn Nacogdoches Naconiche Murval Pinkston Been there, done that. Stayed at an Airbnb in Nacogdoches and did all those except Rayburn (I can make a day trip to Rayburn no problem, done it several times.) Loved them all except Naconiche.
