Had a couple of great days on the water last year with two bags over 50+. Probably won't see another day like these but was fun while it lasted. This was on Bussey Brake in Bastrop, La. Can't wait to see what this year holds. GoPro Video link below. You better put a lock on the gate for that lake, it's going to get some attention soon. You my friend, should have gone immediately and bought a lottery ticket after that April 24th trip. The stars were aligned that day!

Nice! Looking at that list is inspiring, Bussey King (I also subscribed to your YT channel)- My PB was 7lb 7oz, but that was in Illinois. Just moved to Texas and have my boat now, so I will start a new pursuit for my PB. Appreciate the video and your channel.

That lake must be toast since you are name dropping a lake from a beat down that happened a year ago. Hopefully that’s the case or you really like company while fishing.

We went last month and couldnt fit another boat trailer in the parking lot. Gonna be headed back that way pretty quick.
Havent ever fished it in the spawn. Cant imagine where you'd park your trailer.

Bussey is a whole different beast. It's literally a bowl with timber. There are no creeks to go into or coves etc. It is like a flooded orchard.
Still a fun place once you just start fishing. Saw one of the biggest blowups on a frog ever while we were there. Gonna head back soon.

In the off topic section of this page there was a recent discussion on whether or not okra belongs in gumbo. After watching your video I believe you are more than qualified to address the issue. I would invite you to come down to the basement and educate us.
