Plug it up and wait to see where the water comes out of.
Then you can come back to this thread and let us know.
Maybe put a prize pack together....

Interesting. I guess that when you backwash your filter, that water is sent to that line in your flower bed and then into the house drain line. Out here we just run a backwash hose out into the grass and woods.

Do you have a water softener? Looks to me to be the drain for a softener.

I’ve been told my house has one. But I can’t find it anywhere.

Typically pretty hard to miss. Most commonly located in the garage near where the water service enters the home. Systems includes a fairly large, usually plastic brine tank where the salt pellets are dumped and then a resin tank that looks similar to a giant SCUBA tank.

If you don't see something like the above in your garage, look around and see if you notice a water line loop on any of the walls in the garage...piping comes out and the turns back into the wall. If you see this, the water softener has been removed and that drain out in your garden is likely no longer serving anything...but good to keep in place in case you decide to install a softener in the future.

Hey moto, you sure you didn’t buy a house that had a pool and filled it in. Never know, you may have a swimming pool after all……….its just full of dirt!

Thanks, Billy
