I learned to cook by watching Food Network and spending time in the kitchen with my mom and Grandma. I like to cook like Chopped. Put things on the counter and I'll make very edible food.

I learned to cook at 11 years old --- was given a list of what to cook and how to cook for dinner every other day --- my sister ( 2 years older ) was the alternate day ( parents got home late on weekdays ) . When I asked my wife to marry me --- one of the conditions was for her to learn and become a great cook , like her mom ---- and she has --- amazing cook . When my 8 year old grandson comes over or spends the night --- we wake up , we make breakfast together --- usually scrambled eggs , sausage , toast and fruit --- he loves the process and the feeling of achievement .

I absolutely love to cook and while my wife is an excellent cook, she doesn't enjoy it. I cook pretty much everything except baking. I also smoke, grill, and Bbq. I have a dedicated smokehouse to make/smoke bacon, sausage and all types of charcuterie. Cold smoke ? I always thought about building a smoke house. all you need is a box, a can and a soldering iron. You should send that to Nick Byrd. He could maybe cold smoke his next batch paddlefish or whatever trash fish he catches next and tries to make edible.

My dad was a mess Sargent. I can cook chipped beef with gravy for 1000, and turn a choice steak into shoe leather

My wife is not a bad cook...I am just a better cook. Inside or out ... we make it work.
When we decide neither wants to cook...out we go!
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Wife can burn water. Thankfully I like to cook but don’t bake. Baking means following recipes and measuring and I don’t have any time for that! Recipes are just used for ideas on what I want to do!

Being single I don't find myself cooking often. If I do I usally just throw a steak on the grill or something. I am not a big left over guy so a lot gets wasted.

I do my fair share of cooking but mainly on the grill. My wife is a great cook. We usually agree on anything that either of us cook at home. It’s when we try to decide on a restaurant things get dicey

I have a friend that’s been married to the same woman for 50 years if I had to guess. Not only does his wife not cook, she never has. They eat carry out most of the time. The only cooking done in their house is a microwave sausage biscuit for breakfast.
At my house, my wife can cook and cook pretty dang good. Might not cook biscuits and gravy like my mother did back in Oklahoma. She cooks different food than grew up on but she does ok. Since I’ve retired I do a lot more of the cooking. Especially since I live off a carnivore/keto diet. I did loose about 40 pounds in round numbers once I got off bread and junk food.
In my single days a long time ago I ran across quit a few single women that didn’t cook, had no problem telling people they didn’t cook. Maybe why they were single.
Thanks, Billy

Big meals with family over, Momma and I plan the menu then divide a conquer! Team work makes the dream work. Grill(s) - that’s all on me. She is a much better cook and I’m a happy “portly” fellow
Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Cooking is for females
I can grill pretty good. grilling is cooking too I cook, Grill, clean up the dishes and take the trash out. You would not believe how many beers it takes to do this. But someone has to do it.
