Not seeing AC/DC live. Unforgivable.

In my youth, I have done some unnecessarily means things to some people-

I regret that-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Just about to the stage of being empty nesters and I’m feeling it. My boys are at the point where they are too cool to hang with me most of the time now.

I regret not spending as much time possible with them while they were younger and growing. Lesson learned when it’s time for grandchildren!

Finishing my college degree. Did OK without it anyway. Comfortably retired.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I’ve screwed up plenty in my life but I’m good at owning those things and learning from them and correcting them. Luckily, I don’t have much at all that I would change. If I had to choose a few things though -

1. I wouldn’t have been ugly to a girl named Jocelyn in the 5th grade. I paid my dues on that one but I’m still ashamed that I acted like a s**t head to another person in that way.

2. I wished I would’ve left Blinn College and attended TAMU as was the plan. I let stupid things in life get in my way, cloud my judgment, and take my eyes off the prize.

3. I wished the wife and I would’ve went with her parents to Lake Tahoe when they invited us several years ago. They had a free trip package to one of the casinos up there and on a whim, their host got them great tickets to see The Eagles, my favorite band of all time.

Not joining the military. I did so well on the ASVAB that I could have walked into any MOS / Division. I was even offered a chance to go to West Point. With my parents both being military it should have made the decision easy. I opted that surfing, smoking weed, and enjoying my youth was more important.

You messed up on Tahoe. One of our best trips ever.
