Nothing could be that bad. Everything can be worked out. Trust would be thin and needing to be regained.

Betrayal it cost Samson his eyes
And
God allowed divorce because we as humans sometimes can’t get past the betrayal of adultery, he didn’t command a divorce he allowed it

I was just curious after the thread on fat and some saying they would divorce for that but none named fat here
Betrayal is the one thing most of us in whatever shape it takes we can’t get past

After 27 years of marriage, I doubt there's much of anything we couldn't work out.

What a maroon!

The few things that would prompt me are unthinkable, would never happen.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

And the only thing in the Bible God allows divorces for. He knew we would have a hard time with the great hurt from that

so would you be OK if your wife became a drug addict and/or alcoholic ?

I made that comment ---- you can all biblical if you want --that's OK . I've been married almost 42 years --- my wife is amazing and without a doubt --she's my best friend . I also stated --- the vast majority of marriages fail due to act's of selfishness . Drug addiction , alcoholism , cheating --- are you OK with all those acts ?? If people do these things ---they have much deeper issues .
Are you OK with Gluttony ??? Isn't that one of the 7 deadly sins ?? It's directly linked to people being fat .

where in the heck do you get that from what he said? no one is ok with it, but it's not a reason for divorce per se.

Bob ,
Don't get your panties in a wad . He posted that God only allows divorce for adultery --- right ? I was merely stating that there are other things worse than adultery when it comes to marriage .Drug addiction and alcohol . I have seen it first hand and will tell you 100% both ruin lives , marriages and families ------ and it kills tons of people every year
I also posted --- God considers Gluttony as a sin ---- right ??? Does gluttony lead to obesity ??

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

My first busted vows. I tried to get over it. I was not up to the task.

Now 28 years with the real Mrs RayBob. We went riding 4 wheelers today over on my lease and just spent an awesome day together. It's great.
