Early reports....
Military helo (Blackhawk) crashed into regional jet (CRJ)
Search is ongoing in Potomac.
Hope this is wrong. Praying for survivors

DCA approaches typically run you up the river then turn you close to the runway. On runway 33.…you must turn from about 030 heading to 330 at low altitude while descending and attempting to align the aircraft for landing. Picking out traffic is further complicated by all the city lights in the distance.
