I do my own, but it's cold and I don't want to. Local change place says I need an air filter, cabin filter, and brake fluid flush. I change the filters every year and there is nothing wrong with the fluid. Just do the oil please.

They always have to try you with that stuff. Sometimes I take the air filter, but the brake fluid flush is a bunch of nonsensical theft.

What's an oil change going for these days???... When I had my company truck we weren't allowed to do it ourselves... Even site vehicles had to go down to the local oil change location... Dan

Got my Tundra done with Mobil 1 for $110.

Tundra is around $100.00 at the Toyota Dealership with synthetic 10w-20 and filter.

Nine quarts of oil.

You can see the other customers in the waiting room walk out one-by-one for the "up-charge beating" that happens at every oil change shop.

The solution is "no thanks, no thanks, I'm good, no thanks, oh, and I'd like my old oil filter please, but no thanks, I just need the oil changed."

I've asked for the old filter so I know they changed it, and sometimes I stand outside the big bay door while my oil is being changed.

The worst part is they have the view on the TV. No women in sight.

WM was $80 for 8 quarts of synthetic. I let them change my wipers last time and that was a mistake. Cheapest [censored] ever. I’ll go back to having Discount Tire change them when I do my rotation and balance.

The place I go, I used to be able to drop off and pick up later. I guess they figured out sales are better with a captive audience. Now I have to wait in the vehicle.

The place I use doesn’t do that, which is why I go there.

You'd be surprised how many people don't keep up with their vehicles mfg. scheduled maint. requirements.
