A macro lens would be more suitable for that type of photography.

1 from a motorcycle wreck in the back of my right calf.
3 in my groin from heart procedures
1 right elbow from climbing a fence to get away from a Chow dog

I had several scars on parts of me I no longer have, glad I never got tats there-

Numbnut gas station owner blew up a tire on us in '79 while changing a blowout on my truck in Mabank. Should have killed us both, but we ended up in Parkland. He got totally f'd.
Copperhead on the hand 7th grade scar where they sliced it open.
Punched my way through a 2nd floorwindow for a gal when we were both drunk and she forgot her purse. (P__ssy will get ya kilt)
3 surgeries, last hernia have 5 incisions. Looked like I was in a knife...and lost.
Cousin smacked me in the back of the skull with a rock when we were 8 or 9. Yes, accident.
Broke the seat off my bike when I was 11, and decided it was still ok to ride it. Hit some gravel and got about 30 stitches for that little moment of genius.
Galveston at 13 or 14 stepped on a big old broken end of a Squirt bottle and damn near cut my heel off.
Burnt the living [censored] outta my calf on a 71' vettes sidepipes.

All in all...ain't even close to what Steveiam has been through. You're a helluva bad dude Steve!! By the way, loved the tv interview!!

8 knee procedures, hopefully the replacement last year was the last for that. Prettiest scar I've ever seen. If anyone is thinking about a new knee, pm me, I'll give you the real scoop.

I think we have a winner.

Not many but 1 big 1. Broke calcaneous about 12 years ago. I had fracture blisters so had to wait for them to heal before surgery to fuse talar bone to fibula. Doc said necessary to prevent future arthritis issues. In hindsight I should have not had the surgery. 5 months after surgery staph infection blew up and killed a patch of skin. Skin graft involved taking full flap and artery off wrist and replacing it with skin scraped off thigh. Scar on top of foot is where to hooked up the artery.
