Hooters made a really good Cuban years ago. No idea why they stopped that goodness.

Meatball sammich on a on a hollowed-out baguette with cheese toasted in a pizza oven.

Vietnamese Banh Mi.

Other than completing the Suez Canal; just about the only great thing the French people contributed to our world was introducing Eastern cultures to the baguette. The Eastern countries then improved the baguette by making it thinner, lighter, more airy, crispier…then filled it with their tasty exotic Asian spices, vegetables, and meats.

Delicious.

Funny this came up today, I was just thinking about one of my favorite sandwiches as a kid growing up in rural Indiana...So quick and easy but dang good.

HAM SALAD

I have looked and looked and looked here at every grocery store and it doesn't seem to be sold. In Indiana, its everywhere. A couple of ham salad sandwiches, 6 pack of Bud while ice fishing was a good ole time..

I am not hard to please. Leftover meatloaf with cheese slice and ketchup or a good old BLT sandwich both work for me.
