I’ve had some good sandwiches at Jimmy’s Food Store in Dallas. Their sandwiches are just about as good as it gets.

OFTLOG, a sandwich when I was in grade school was "sandwich spread" on 2 slices of white bread. No cookie.
I lived through it, deal with it.
What I got, and I'm 76 now to have made it this far . . . . I'm glad you lived through it, but what is OFTLOG? Oh for the love of God.

There’s a little store in Itasca, Texas called Olde Towne Country Store. It’s ran by Mennonite’s and they make a damn good sandwich.

The only sandwich I eat with any regularity is Jersey mikes #9 club sub supreme. I eat ham sandwiches at home for lunch sometimes but there’s not much to those.

Open face roast beef sandwich, most excellent, not sure where you have them here but Rays PeGe in Monroe La for last 60+ years. My mother-in-law lives about 5 minutes from Ray's when I'm in town that's where I go they've got the best brown gravy of anywhere

Happy Kamper - I think there is still a Gallagaskins on Camp Bowie. There Pastrami provolone with cherry peppers is hard to beat. After that , Ruben and a Philly with provolone and mushrooms

I like most sandwiches. My favorite depends on the weather and where I am. Hot August Texas day I'd like an ice cold tuna salad on toast with a tomato slice and a lettuce leaf. Then there's a gas station up the road from my aunt's house on Magnolia Island, LA, that makes the best fried crawfish po'boy I'll likely ever have.

No love for the Patty melt? If its not made with rye bread it's not a real paty melt. Chupacabra Kitchen in Salado has a great one.
