In New Orleans. It’s a sloppy meatball poboy with hot mustard, American cheese, dressed. Dressed, for those that don’t know, is lettuce, tomatoes, and whatever else you want (pickles, onions, etc). And, of course, on French bread. To me, there is no better sandwich, and why I can’t get one in Texas is a mystery. Second place would be a good Muffaletta - also hard to find in Texas. You can get a Muffaletta here, but it isn’t the real deal.

Goode Company Seafood used to have a fried flounder po boy on their menu that was great. Sadly, I think they replaced it with catfish.

Too many to limit to one

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

The Doo-Wopper Hero #139 from Lioni’s Italian Heroes.

Provolone, fresh mozzarella, cappicolla, soppressata, bruschetta, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto di Parma on homemade Italian bread.

Now that’s [censored] Italian baby!

I have so many to choose from. I can't pick just one.

OFTLOG, a sandwich when I was in grade school was "sandwich spread" on 2 slices of white bread. No cookie.

I lived through it, deal with it.

What I got, and I'm 76 now to have made it this far . . . .

Dino’s – Arlington, TX. Right up there with the all-time greats. They still import their pastrami and corned beef from New Jersey.
