Please, someone provide picture proof of diesel gelling in Texas. Amarillo is fine.
I wanna see the pictures. Amarillo gets winter diesel.

It does get cold enough for it to gel. I’ve seen it happen. I always put anti gel in the tractor when I put it up for the winter because it’s probably still going to have summer blend fuel in it and I have needed it in the winter. I have seen it gel without an additive. I just used some stuff that comes in a white bottle at parts stores or Walmart.

I wanna see the pictures. At any time I have 100 pre owned diesel trucks at any given time. They will get, especially late model durmax trucks for some reason.

Put some in a mason jar. Tighten the lid and set it next the front tire when you get home. Anywhere you won't forget about it. Actually see if the fuel gels.

I have had the rough running in the cold, but once the motor warmed up all was ok. Plenty of places in north and west Texas prolly get cold enough for a few days in the year to start seeing gelling

Diesel will definitely gel here. Happened to my brother during 2021 snowmaggedon. He lives in Lindale.
I kept my duramax in the shop and put a heater under the fuel tank and plugged in the block heater, and it was enough to not gel.
Up north they get fuel that has anti-gel in it. We don't get that down here.
Would be a fun experiment to put some in a mason jar. Never tried that.

I always used to use Stanadyne Performance Formula in my vehicles and never had fuel issues even when I traveled up north during the winter.

I use Power Services Diesel Additive every time we get a hard freeze. In 2010 while TDY in Austin, my 05 Duramax cranked and ran fine but it died at the main gate at Camp Mabry. We had to push it to the side until the sun came out. So yes, it can happen here in Texas. Also, I'm certain where we get fuel plays a part.
